Remote Desktop Support

Coral IT uses remote desktop support software to help diagnose problems quickly and easily. This provides us with a more unique solution to providing support over the phone to you. With remote support, we can 'see' the problem on your screen, without you having to describe the problem in detail, and we can control your machine as if we were onsite. This saves you from the complications of 'clicking' here, and configuring this.

Cost Benefits

Downtime can be a major cost for businesses. Our remote support can be done at a time convienant to you and with no call out costs, which saves you time and money. Use our Online ticketing System to raise a support issue, or alternatively call our support line on 02 9870 7777

Location

Our technicians are located in Australia, giving us fast access to the Australasian network. This means we can solve problems quickly, and for you, a local call to a local company in Australia.

Best of Breed Remote Software

Unlike other support companies, we do not use software that leaves 'residiual' software, or registry information on your machine. The connection is initiiated by you, so security is maintained and you can be assured that once the connection is broke, we will not be able to reconnect to your machine unless you request it.

Requirements

Remote Support is offered by us during normal business hours, with the following requirements;

  • Computer must be PC compatible. We currently do not support macintosh systems
  • Operating system and Internet access must be working. If the problem is related to a damaged Operating System or Hardware issues, then most likely we will need to physically access the machine for repair. This can be done onsite or at our service centre. Computers can be shipped to us, or you can arrange an onsite visit if you're in the Sydney metropolitan area. Internet access problems are best to be raised by your Internet Service provider. If they are unable to assist you , then speak with one of our network consultants. Some setups are not supported by Internet providers, these usually include business networks, which is what we specialise in.
  • A broadband connection with a minimum upload connection speed of 128Kb. If you are unsure what your upload speed is, try our internet speedtest utility.

  • Have a phone near the computer, so we can talk to you about the issues you are having.

If any of these requirements are not met, we can still assist you over the phone, and advise what is the best solution for your needs.
